35th Anniversary of Point Loma Native Plant Reserve

The Point Loma Community Garden, San Diego River Park Foundation & Point Loma Native Plant Reserve held the “River Days 2007”. The speakers gave oral history of the area as well as mapping out the future. The park itself was formed in 1972 after having the city designate or actually redesignate the land (area of Collier Park was originally 60 acres but when Nimitz Blvd. was built park was divided. 20 acres set aside to become Collier Park with land opposite side of Nimitz eventually becoming Cleator Park (1990’s).
